MAVWASCO ADOPTS SMART METER TECHNOLOGY
To improve on accuracy of meter reading and billing as well as reduce Non Revenue water, MAVWASCO has installed smart meters. The first phase of installation targets gated communities, water kiosks and large consumers.
Some of the key benefits of the smart meters include:
1). Ability to read meters remotely with built-in radio communication
2). Ultrasonic flow Meter only records water flow and doesn't move due to air pressure in the line.
3). Meter logs and stores monthly meter readings for 36 months.
4). Meter logs and stores daily meter readings for 460 days.
5). Leak and Burst detection.
6). Meter records Reverse flows
