MAVOKO WATER SUPPLY PROJECT

Project objectives:

To supply 17,000m3 of water per day to the residents of Athiriver, Mlolongo ,Syokimau & the environs.

Project Components:

Construction of a new ultramodern water treatment plant in Athiriver town.

Rehabilitation of KMC and Kasuitu dams in Athiriver.

Rehabilitation of Nolturesh Water supply system.

Construction of a 5,000m3 reinforced concrete water reservoir and a 3,000m3 elevated tank at Syokimau.

Construction of Nairobi-Syokimau water pipeline

ATHIRIVER SEWERLINES UPGRADE PROJECT

Project objectives:

To construct & upgrade sewer systems within Athiriver town.Targeted areas are:-Njoguini,KMC-Madukani,Ngei II & Embakasi estates.  

PROJECT SCOPE:

Construction of at least 9 km of sewer lines of diameters from 200 mm(8") to 400 mm(16") and associated manholes.

TARGET POPULATION: 18,000 PEOPLE

SOFIA-JUAKALI WATER PROJECT

Project objectives:

To increase water coverage from 35% to 70 % in the project area.

Project components:

Construction of 4 water kiosks.

Construction of an 850m3 reinforced concrete water tank.

Construction of a 2km water pipeline.

Target Population:20,000 People

 MAKADARA PUBLIC SANITATION FACILITY

Project objectives:

To provide sanitation infrastructure to market users.
To promote health and hygiene among market users.
to contribute to millennium development goals.

Project Details:

construction of a sanitation block at Makadara matatu terminus.
Population to benefit:3,836 people

KMC-NJOGUINI WATER PROJECT

Project objectives:

To promote storage capacity for the company by 40%.
To provide wholesome water to pro poor areas of Njoguini area and KMC village.
To boost pressure within the wider proposed area.
To create employment among youth/women groups.
To reduce distance covered by residents to fetch water

Project Details

construction of 2no closed water kiosks.
construction of Ino steel pressed tank.
construction of 2400 metres pipeline extensions
Population to benefit:12,000 people

KICHEKO NGWATA WATER PROJECT

Project objectives:

To improve supply and coverage of water from 35% to 70% in the project area.
to reduce the distance covered by the residents to fetch water.
to create employment among women/youth groups.
to promote health and hygiene among the residents in the project area

Project Details

construction of 7no water kiosks.
construction of 450m3 Pressed steel tank
construction of 6 km water pipeline.
Population to benefit:40,320 people

SLOTA SANITATION PROJECT

Project objectives:

To increase access to decent sanitation among the residents.
To utilize an existing 300mm dia trunk sewer main aimed at servicing the project area.
To increase sewerage coverage in the project area from a paltry 10% to 100%.
To improve the environmental condition within the project area

Project Details

construction of 2.5km of 200mm dia sewer secondary mainlines.
construction of 75no sewer manholes
Population to benefit:10,500 people
